Who is responsible

The data controller is Edge, —.

In short

• You don't need an account, a name or a password to use Edge.
• Your settings stay in your browser.
• Our analytics are cookieless and only produce aggregate statistics.
• For Premium, we keep only what we need to run your subscription, and we never see your card details.
• We don't sell your data and we don't use it to build advertising profiles.

Using Edge's free features

Settings in your browser. Your age confirmation and your preferences (sounds, tempo, toy settings and the like) are saved in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device, we don't receive them, and you can erase them at any time by clearing your browser's data for Edge.

Audience statistics. We measure audience with Umami, an open-source analytics tool that we host ourselves. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't store your IP address and doesn't follow you across websites. We only see aggregate figures, such as pages viewed, referring sites, countries, and device and browser types. No data goes to a third-party analytics company.

Server logs and security. Like any website, our server processes technical data when you load a page: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use it to deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse (for example, by limiting repeated attempts to guess access codes). Logs are kept for a short period, then deleted.

Messages and notices. If you email us or send a copyright notice, we use what you send (for example your name, email address and message) to answer and handle your request.

Edge Premium

When you subscribe, you pay on Verotel's secure pages. Verotel then sends us what we need to activate and manage your subscription:

• a sale identifier, the plan you chose, the subscription status (active, cancelled, ended) and its dates;
• the email address you gave Verotel, which we use to find your purchase if you lose your access code, to answer your requests, and to inform you of important changes to your subscription.

We then create your personal access code and store it with that record. On each device where Premium is active, we set a cookie that keeps it unlocked there. It contains a random token, not your email address. You can remove it from your account page ("Remove access from this device") or by clearing your cookies.

We never receive or store your card number or any other payment details: Verotel processes them under its own privacy policy.

Because Edge is an adult site, the simple fact that you subscribe can be sensitive. We treat all Premium data as confidential, keep it to the minimum, and never use it for any other purpose than those described here.

Premium waitlist: if you leave your email to be told when Premium opens, we keep only that address, the page language and the date, on the basis of your consent. We send one email on launch day and then delete the address; you can ask us to delete it earlier at hello@edgeritual.app.

Toy sync

If you connect a Lovense toy, Edge uses Lovense's software to communicate with the Lovense Remote app on your phone, through Lovense's servers. The connection uses a random, anonymous identifier, not your name or email address. The commands sent (vibration levels) go through Lovense, which processes them under its own privacy policy. We don't store anything about your toy or your sessions.

Videos, ads, live cams and partner links

Embedded videos. Videos in the clip feed are played through the official embed players of the platforms that host them. When a player loads, that platform receives technical data from your browser (such as your IP address) and may use its own cookies, under its own privacy policy.

Ads. On pages that show ads, the ads are delivered by our advertising partners' servers. They receive technical data such as your IP address and browser type in order to display the ad, and may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. Edge Premium removes ads from Edge.

Live cams. Room previews in the live cam section may be loaded from our partner Chaturbate's servers, which then receive technical data from your browser. Rooms open on live.edgeritual.app, a site operated by Chaturbate under its own privacy policy.

Affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link, the partner site (for example a cam site or the Lovense shop) may set its own cookies to attribute your visit to Edge. We only receive aggregate reports, such as numbers of clicks, sign-ups or sales, never your identity.

These partners decide on their own how they use the data they collect; their privacy policies apply on their sites and in their players.

Why we use your data (legal bases)

• Providing Premium and handling your purchase: performance of our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Keeping accounting and tax records: compliance with our legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
• Security, abuse prevention, audience statistics and answering your messages: our legitimate interest in running a safe service that works (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Storing your settings, your age confirmation and the Premium cookie on your device: these are strictly necessary for features you ask for, so they don't require consent under the ePrivacy rules.

Where we need your consent for anything else, we'll ask for it first, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Who receives your data

We don't sell or rent your data. It is only shared with:

• our hosting provider, which runs the server Edge uses and acts on our instructions;
• Verotel, for payments and billing;
• public authorities, when the law requires it.

Video platforms, Lovense, ad networks and affiliate partners only receive data directly from your browser when you use their features, as described above.

Where your data is processed

Edge's data is stored on our server in the European Union, and Verotel is based in the Netherlands, also in the EU.

Third parties you interact with directly (video platforms, Lovense, ad and affiliate partners) may process data outside the EU. When they do, they are responsible for providing appropriate safeguards under their own policies.

How long we keep it

• Settings in your browser: until you clear them.
• Server logs: a short period, then they are deleted.
• Premium records (access code, subscription status and dates, email address): as long as your subscription is active, then for as long as needed to handle questions, refunds or disputes about it.
• Accounting records relating to sales: for the period required by law.
• Messages and notices: as long as needed to handle them and any related claim.

When a retention period ends, we delete the data or anonymize it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• access the data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data erased, unless we must keep it by law;
• object to processing based on our legitimate interests, or ask us to restrict it;
• receive the data you gave us in a portable format;
• withdraw your consent at any time, where processing relies on it.

Under French law, you can also give instructions about what happens to your data after your death.

To exercise these rights, email hello@edgeritual.app. For Premium data, include your access code or the email address you used to pay, so we can find your record and make sure the request comes from the subscriber. We reply within one month.

If you think we haven't respected your rights, you can file a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), or with the authority of the EU country where you live.

Security

All connections to Edge are encrypted (HTTPS), access to our server is restricted, and attempts to guess access codes are limited. Collecting as little as possible is also a safeguard: data we don't have can't leak.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affecting your data occurs, we'll notify the CNIL and, where the law requires it, you.

Adults only

Edge is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly process data about minors. If you believe a minor has bought Premium or sent us data, contact hello@edgeritual.app and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Edge or the law changes. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change significantly affects how we use Premium subscribers' data, we'll tell them by email beforehand.
